Author Guidelines

Thank you for considering Page & Flame for your book. Please review the following guidelines before submitting your book for consideration:

Self-Published Books:

Your book must be professionally bound, edited, and finished.

The title must appear on the spine of the book.

Pricing should be consistent with the genre.

We do not accept books on consignment.

We typically start with 1-2 copies upon acceptance and reorder as they sell.

Preference is given to books available through a publisher or distributor like Ingram, with standard terms (40% discount) and returnable. For direct purchases from the author, we offer a 60/40 split, paying the author 60% of the retail price. We do not cover shipping costs.

Please email the following information to Alice Forward, our Events Coordinator, at alice@pageandflame.com:

  • Your name and contact information
  • Book title, publication date, ISBN
  • Link to a website with information about your book
  • Local target audience in Upstate SC
  • Your promotion plan if we stock your book

Sending a Review Copy:

Authors are required to drop off or send a review copy of their book to:

We are unable to accommodate walk-in visits without an appointment or telephone inquiries. Please allow 2-4 weeks for review before following up via email. We appreciate your understanding.

 

Traditionally Published Books:

Please follow the submission guidelines above. If we decide to stock your book, we will purchase it through Ingram or the publisher.

Events:

If you would like to host an event for your upcoming book release, please email alice@pageandflame.com with details about the book, the release date, and why you believe it would be successful at Page & Flame.


Allow 2-4 weeks for a response before following up via email.

Media and PR
Responsibilities:

The author or their publicist is responsible for sending out press releases and contacting media outlets to promote their event at Page & Flame. We will support your efforts by promoting the event on our Instagram and Facebook pages.

We appreciate your interest in Page & Flame and look forward to the possibility of showcasing your work in our bookstore.
